The much awaited Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon, Jim Sarbh (Neerja famed) and Rajkumar Rao starrer film ‘RAABTA’ was released on 9th June. Directed by Dinesh Vijan, it has costed 55crore film in the making. Raabta is based on reincarnation and was released on 1820 screens in India and 330 screens in overseas market. Breaking the high expectations of grand opening, the film had a sluggish start of 5.61 crores on its first day according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The overall occupancy in the morning shows was 15%, indicating a very poor start. The film still needs to collect in the range of 65-70 crores for its recovering costs. The film requires a huge growth over the weekend for that. Much can’t be predicted as its just one day but we hope the saying “slow and steady wins the race” works for Raabta!
