Since the time of its announcement, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai has been creating a lot buzz which is natural since it is a superstar Salman Khan’s film and in addition to that it is coming on Eid. So there will be hype and noise around the film.
Now there is a new buzz around the film regarding its cast. According to latest developments, TV actor Gautam Gulati has been roped in to play an important character in Salman Khan starrer. Bollywood Hungama has reported “Gautam Gulati has just come on board, and will be seen playing one of the pivotal parts. While not much is known about his character yet, we hear Gautam loved the brief about his part and gave his nod quickly.”
There were a lot of speculations around the cast of the film even before its announcement. While Disha Patani who was seen with Salman Khan in Bharat was confirmed as the leading lady, Randeep Hooda, Jackie Shroff were reported to be playing pivotal roles in the film. Earlier this month Zarina Wahab was reported to be playing Salman Khan’s onscreen mother in the movie. Tamil actor Bharath Niwas was also reported to have joined the cast.
Gautam Gulati is known for his comical role in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Diya Aur Baati Hum. In 2014, he participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 8 and emerged as the winner. He appeared in Rakesh Mehta’s short film Darpok, which was screened at the 67th Cannes Film Festival, and in Siddhartha-The Buddha where he played the role of Devadutta. He played Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri in Mohammad Azharuddin’s biopic Azhar. His last project was Behen Hogi Teri, where he played the character of Rahul.
Coming back to Radhe, the shooting of the film started in Mumbai last month. The film is reported to be the remake of a Korean film titled The Outlaws directed by Kang Yoon-Sung. According to media reports, the writers are trying their best to indianize the story well and also to lessen the violent and sexual content, which is there in abundance in the original script.
Produced by Sohail Khan, Radhe will mark the third collaboration between Salman Khan and Prabhudheva. The director helmed Salman’s 2009 release Wanted and the upcoming Dabangg 3.
