Actress Radhika Madan, is one of the few actors who has managed to achieve a successful career in television as well as in films now.
Her debut feature film ‘Pataakha’ recently completed one year of its release. Radhika recently a video of herself with Sanya Malhotra on her Instgram profile for the occasion.
In the video, which was taken in a remote village in Rajasthan, Radhika and Sanya can be seen clapping along the local women who can be heard singing their traditional song.
She wrote: “I can never forget this day. We were in a village prepping for our film . I had not officially signed the contract till then. Even while prepping i couldnt fathom the fact that i was doing a VISHAL BHARADWAJ film. It was our 5th day in the village and these amazing ladies took us to this madir which they believed was really auspicious there after 5 days we got network on our phones and It was buzzing with notifications and messages. I opened my moms message which had the picture of an article with the headline”Vishal finds his churriyaan” and it had the picture of me and Sanya below it. I read that and i just couldnt contain my tears. I was doing a VISHAL BHARADWAJ film! It was real! My life has literally changed from that day. I believe in universe a lil more, i believe in my dreams a lil more.
And i dare to dream big So much so that people laugh at me ! (Which is a great sign by the way)????
This movie is and will always be closest to my heart .

It was taken when the duo were preparing for their respective roles, which included learning the local dialect, cooking food in a soil chulha and walking while carrying a pot on their head.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film was based on a short story titled ‘Do Behnein by Charan Singh Pathik.’ It was about two sisters who are always at conflict with each other.
‘Pataakha’ was released on 28 September, 2018.
