After winning his battle with cancer, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan is all set to return to his first love, acting. The actor will start shooting the sequel of ‘Hindi Medium‘ with Radhika Madan in Rajasthan next week.
As per reports, Radhika has been roped in to play the role of Irrfan’s daughter in the film and Kareena Kapoor will play his wife.
A source close to the development informed, “Irrfan and Radhika started prep a while ago and are looking forward to kicking off the first schedule in Rajasthan. It’s an important portion after which they will take off for the international schedule. It was initially planned to be set in the US but will now take place in London for which the team recently conducted a recce.”
The story of the film ‘English Medium’ will revolve around Irrfan’s daughter who goes to the US to study.
Homi Adajania has taken over the directorial part of ‘English Medium’ from Saket Chaudhary. Homi had said, “It’s been a while since I found any material so amusing yet emotional.”
Just a few days ago Irrfan announced his comeback through a heartfelt note on social media. “Maybe somewhere in the pursuit of winning, we forget how much it means to be loved. In our vulnerability, we are reminded. As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love and support, it soothed me in my process of healing. So, I travel back to you, thanking you from the bottom of my heart,” the note read.
