After giving hit like ‘Petta‘, superstar Rajinikanth will kickstart his film with director AR Murugadoss from April 10. Earlier there were reports that the film will go on floors from March 2019 but the film got postponed due to unknown reasons.

According to the reports, the shooting of the 70-year-old actor’s next film will commence from April 10. Since it is election time, the big budget film will face problems in cash flow which further will put the films on hold.

If rumors are to be believed Rajinikanth will appear in a dual role for the film. He will be seen donning Khaki in AR Murugadoss’s next. The film is tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 166’. The majority of the film will be shot in Mumbai.

The film will also feature Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads. ‘Thalaivar 166’ will mark Nayanthara’s fourth collaboration with superstar Rajinikanth after Chandramukhi, Kuselan, and Sivaji. Whereas, for Keerthy, it will her first time sharing screen space with the superstar.

Rajinikanth’s upcoming film will be produced by Lyca Productions, the technical crew comprises of composer Anirudh Ravichander and cinematographer Santosh Sivan.

The superstar was last seen in ‘Petta’, with director Karthik Subbaraj, which released on January 10 went on to become a successful investment for everyone who was associated with the venture.
