Indian filmmaker David Dhawan says that he is very much impressed with the actor Rajkummar Rao‘s performance in his recently released movie ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’. David has even expressed his desire that he wants to work along with actor Rajkummar and the actor says that it would be fun whenever in the future he will collaborate along with the director. Recently, during the interview, Varun Dhawan had revealed that his father David was so much blown away with the Rajkummar’s performance and he was keen to work along with the actor.
Recently, actor Rajkummar Rao has even said that he is a big fan of the director David Dhawan’s movies. He says that he grew up watching his amazing comedy movies. He would be lucky if he would get an opportunity to work along with the director and he feels that it would be great to work with him. Moreover, Rajkummar says that David had called him after he saw Bareilly Ki Barfi and both of them spoke at length. He says that he is a senior from FTII so they both had that connection as well.
David says that we will work together in a movie and he is very much sure that they will both rock the movie. Rajkummar says that David really like the comic timing in the movie and he feels that it would be great whenever they both will join their hands for the movie. Rajkummar says that that will going to be a different experience and he will surely try to bring something different on the table, combined with the sensibility and it will fun to work along with a director like David.
However, Rajkummar feels that David’s son Varun is equally maintaining a fine balance in his films by doing acting in both entertaining as well as content-driven cinema. Rajkummar says that actor Varun Dhawan has been really very supportive he is very sweet and Raajkummar has an immense respect for him. Recently he did a massy entertainer movie ‘Judwaa 2’. Earlier, he even did a dark movie titled ‘Badlapur’ and now he is working with the Shoojit Sircar and he feels that it is a great balance for an actor.
Rajkummar so far has done movies like ‘Trapped’, ‘Newton’, ‘Behen Hogi Teri’, Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and much more and he believes that as an actor he does not think about the commercial prospects while he is signing the movie. Rajkummar says that for him what matters is the story because no one has any idea that what is going to happen in the future at the Box Office but he believes that at least you can give two months from your life to that script which you have really liked it.
He feels that by doing such performance he has been declared as the performer of the year. However, Rajkummar says that he will do not let this go to his head. He does think about it at all and he has been working non-stop and he really enjoyed whatever role he has portrayed in his movies till now. All his focus and energy is always in the work and he feels that it is a great feeling when people say that this year has been this year he has done a wonderful job and given an amazing movie to the audience. However, he feels that he is fortunate that he got to be a part of all those scripts while he feels that out of all the movies he did some of them worked while some did not work on that he feels that it is totally fine, the ratio is not bad.
Moreover, actor Rajkummar believes that now the makers of the movies have started trusting them as an artist. He says that he is very much sure that even before there would have been many people earlier as well who all are wanted to make a movie along with him but due to some of the reason and they might have thought that investing this much money on a newcomer would probably be a risk. Now, he says that the makers knew that their movies are making money and there is a definite audience who watch his movies. Now, even the makers feel confident and probably that is the reason why his next movie is bigger ones and with a really wonderful story attached to it.
