Rajkummar Rao‘s three films ‘Behen Hogi Teri’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and ‘Newton’ are up for comparison. Where his Shruti Haasan starer ‘Behen Hogi Teri’, a rom-com, has already been released on 9th of June, two of his projects are yet to be released.
One of which is ‘Newton’ – a black comedy film directed by Amit V Masurkar and produced by Drishyam Films. Newton had its world premiere in the Forum section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival, and is set to have its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival where it screens in the International Narrative Competition section. The film received a warm response at its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. It also won the CICAE Award for best film in the Forum Section. It will hit the Indian screens on August 18th.
His third project ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi‘ is a rom-com, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. The film will have Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Ayushmann Khurrana is a printing press owner whereas Rajkummar Rao is working in the printing press under him. Kriti Sanon is playing the female lead in the movie, playing the role of a young contemporary girl in Uttar Pradesh. It is scheduled to be released on August 18th which is the same date on which Rao’s another film ‘Newton’ is being released.
