Don't like to dwell on success or failure: Rakul Preet!

The Indian film actress Rakul Preet Singh says she does not like to dwell on success or failure. She is best known for her works in the Telugu industry. However, she has also appeared in the few Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada movies. She started her career as a model. Then in 2009, she made her acting debut with the movie titled ‘Gilli’. Later, she appeared in the Femina Miss India pageant in which she was placed fifth. In 2014, she made her Bollywood debut with the movie titled “Yaariyan”, which was Bollywood coming-of-age romance adventure film. The movie was directed by Divya Khosla Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series Super Cassettes Industries. It features Himansh Kohli, Rakul Preet Singh and Nicole Faria in the lead roles. The movie marks the debut movie for the director as well as for the actors. The movie ‘Yaariyan’ revolves around the story of close friends who are in college, experiencing different relationships and learning new values.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh says that she is on a career high with five hits in just last twelve months and she is very happy with her current phase of her career, but she feels that she does not like to dwell too much on success or failure. About this Rakul said, “Honestly, I don’t find this phase exciting because neither a hit makes me happy nor a flop makes me sad. It’s difficult for me to get excited because I don’t even know how to celebrate a hit. It’s great that your work is getting recognized, but I am always thinking about what I’m doing next.”

Last year Rakul Preet’s three Telugu movies received a good response at the Box Office. Her first release of the year “Winner” turned out to be a flop movie, but she gave two hits after that “Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam” and “Jaya Janaki Nayaka”.

About the same, Rakul Preet says, “I’m happy that the last two years have been great. It’s nice to know that people have been talking about my work. But all this dies down eventually. I’m always thinking of what I can do in the longer run. I don’t like to dwell too much on success or failure.”

When asked from the actress that by doing back to back successful movies brought more pressure upon her. Rakul said, “It’s always there. People might say a lot of things about the kind of films I do. But I can only choose from what I get. I’m lucky that the films that I chose in the recent past did very well. I’ll continue picking the best from what I get. It also needs to be understood that a fate of a film is not in our hands.”

When asked her about an impact on how she will approach an offer, she said, “It’s always based on permutation and combination.” She added, “Sometimes you sign a project because you want to work with a certain director. In the case of ‘Spyder’, my next release, I signed the film even before I heard the narration because of the combination. I have always wanted to work with Murugadoss sir and also with Mahesh Babu.”
