We recently told you that actor Ajay Devgn had joined Sidharth Malhotra for a film which will be directed by Indra Kumar who has previously directed films like Dhamaal (2007), Double Dhamaal (2011) and ‘90s films like Dil (1990), Beta (1992), Raja (1995) and Ishq (1997). Now we have learnt that actor Rakul Preet Singh has also joined them. According to a report on entertainment website Pinkvilla, she will play the romantic interest of Malhotra in the film.
The report quoted a source close to the development as saying, “Indra Kumar is planning a social comedy with Ajay and Sidharth in the lead. They were looking for a pretty actress who’s also a great performer to join the cast. Indra has now locked Rakul for the film. They feel she is the perfect choice for the role, which is also very performance driven.“
Th source further added, “It’s a huge ensemble which will also have two other young actors, apart from Ajay, Sid and Rakul.”
Incidentally, Singh had previously worked with both actors. She was recently seen with Malhotra in Milaap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan and she played the lead role opposite Devgn in De De Pyaar De which emerged as a commercially successful film.
The report also suggested that Devgn might also come on board as a co-producer for the film which will go on the floors sometime around 2020 March-end.
