Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn’s masterpiece, RRR is set to release on the special occasion of Holi. The makers have booked March 18 for its theatrical release.
SS Rajamouli Announces The Release Date Of ‘RRR’
SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited action film, RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt) gets a new release date. The filmmakers have decided to release RRR on March 18. The makers also booked a backup date for the movie, April 28, if it gets postponed again due to the unpredictable pandemic situation. An official statement by the film’s team has been posted on its Instagram page. It says, ”If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theatres open up to operate at full capacity, we are ready to release on 18th March 2022. Otherwise, RRR Movie will release on 28th April 2022.”
RRR has been postponed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic since 2020. To keep this in mind, the makers have narrowed down two dates for its release.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR is the magnum opus of Indian cinemas, with a budget of over Rs 450 crores. The movie stars versatile actors including Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. Earlier, the makers decided to release the film on January 7. The team had even started the promotional activities carried all across India. But the movie got postponed due to Omicron.
Inference With Regard To The Title ‘RRR’
Director SS Rajamouli revealed the rationale behind the title of the film on The Kapil Sharma Show. On being asked the reason behind titling the movie by the host, the directed stated, ”In the beginning, we didn’t know what to put the title as, so we thought we should refer to the project as ‘RRR’ because of – Ram Charan, Rama Rao (Jr. NTR) and Rajamouli. We started putting hashtags as RRR, and the response of the audience was overwhelming so we kept ‘RRR’ as the title.” The team went as guests to Kapil’s show for the promotion of the film.

Besides the two, the movie stars Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. Written by K V Vijayendra Prasad, RRR centres around the tale of two legendary freedom fighters of the early 20th century. Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetharama Raju, Jr. NTR as Komaram Bheem. The two revolutionaries return back home to fight against British colonialists in the 1920s.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR is set to release on the ocassion of Holi. The movie is anticipated to set new benchmarks at the ticket window.
