Ramayan, which is Ramanand Sagar’s epic show return to television has worked wonders for the people as well as Doordarshan. Since the time it has started, it is smashing viewership record. From March 28, when it has been aired on DD National, Ramayan has continued to be seen weeks after weeks. The show started with the objective to keep the viewers hooked to television so that people could stay at home.
On April 18, Ramayan came to an end and was replaced with Uttar Ramayan which has been featuring the story of Luva and Kush who are the twins of Ram and Sita. Before the conclusion, as per BARC India Ramayan again broke the records and became the most watched show all over the world with 77 million impressions on April 16. It was the same week when DD National had garnered 2.68 billion viewership for the week.
The most watched GEC shows during this time for the last week were DD National’s Ramayan and Uttar Ramayan.
After the huge success of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan and BR Chpora’s Mahabharat, another mythological show named Shri Krishna is set to return back on DD National. The show will start from 9pm from May 3.
