Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are all set to come together for a new film that will be directed by Luv Ranjan who has previously helmed films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Akaash Vani. It is the very first time that the two actors have been cast opposite each other in a film.
The announcement was made on the official Twitter page of Luv Ranjan Films where the makers also revealed the release date of the untitled film. Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film has been scheduled to be released on 26 March 2021.

It was previously reported that Ranbir and Deepika Padukone would star in a Luv Ranjan film that would also have Ajay Devgn. Later, Devgn was reported to have walked out of the project. The buzz was there that the project had been shelved. But Ranjan cleared the air at the trailer launch of his upcoming production venture Jai Mummy Di. “It hasn’t been shelved. The work is going on. There will be a proper announcement… That’s when I will talk about it,” he told the media. As of now it is not clear if the announced film is the same or a different project altogether.
Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is busy with Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra and Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera. On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor is gearing up for her upcoming film Street Dancer 3D. She also has Ahmed Khan directorial Baaghi 3 that also stars Tiger Shroff.
