Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently shooting for Ayaan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra, is very interested in teaming up with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, according to a report on Etimes. After the overwhelming success of his directorial project Kabir Singh this year, Vanga reportedly approached Kapoor for his next film. Although the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor wants to collaborate with the director but he has some conditions.
The report quoted a source as saying, “Ranbir Kapoor is keen to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. However he wants to first read the entire screenplay and only after that will he decide whether he wants to do the film or not. Sandeep is currently writing the script and it will take at least 10-15 more days for him to wrap it up completely.”
Bhushan Kumar is reported to be bankrolling the project, which has been reportedly titled Devil. Earlier when the producer was asked about casting Kapoor in Sandeep’s next directorial, Bhushan had told told news agency PTI, “We are doing the film but no actor has been finalised. He (Sandeep) is still writing the script. When it’ll be ready we will officially announce it.”
Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani directorial biographical drama Sanju. Besides Brahmastra, he is also doing Yash Raj’s Shamshera which will be directed by Karan Malhotra who has previously directed Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath and Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Brothers.
