It’s been more than 9 months when Gully Boy starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh released. It won many hearts at the time of its release and was also premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Grossing over INR 238 crore worldwide, the film is one of the biggest films of this year.
A coming-of-age-story about an aspiring street rapper from the Dharavi slums in Mumbai, Gully Boy is inspired by the real-life story of Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy.
Gully Boy was chosen as the official entry in Oscar 2020 competing with Andhadhun, Sonchiriya, and Article 15. This is not it, with its realistic storyline, amazing screenplay, and a fantastic cast, this film is still winning hearts all over the world.
Recently, a screening of Gully Boy was hosted in Los Angles jointly by Priyanka Chopra and Amazon Studios, which gathered a great response.
While in the recent Asian Academy Creative Awards ceremony, Gully Boy proudly walked away with the Best Film from India in regional finals. Many stars have congratulated the team of Gully Boy including Farhan Akhtar.

Gully Boy released on 14th February 2019, also stars Vijay Varma, Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz and Vijay Varma in other pivotal roles, also marked the Bollywood debut of Siddhant Chaturvedi. Siddhant, who played budding rapper, MC Sher, received praise in tons for his splendid performance.
