The latest installment of the Deadpool franchise is set for release worldwide on the 18th of May 2018. After the release of the first movie, Deadpool had been widely appreciated, especially by its Indian audience. Hence, this time, the Indian subsidiary of 20th Century Fox, aka, Fox Star Studio has decided to release Deadpool 2 in its original English language, as well as an altered Hindi, dubbed version on the very same day of its release all over India.
Many assumptions have been made since this announcement with the public trying their hands at guessing which lucky Bollywood actor will get to play the voice of Ryan Reynolds. The final trailer of the movie, which was uploaded to YouTube on the 7th of May, cleared any and all doubts by crediting Ranveer Singh as the voice of Deadpool. Fans of the actor had previously been in doubt whether Ranveer would accept this role in the Marvel movie, considering he was filming for his own upcoming move Gully Boy. All doubts have been cleared now as only appreciation and praise rain down on Ranveer Singh following his quirky dialogue delivery in the official trailer.
Ranveer Singh is supposed to have been the first and only choice for the dubbing role of Deadpool by the production company. The CEO of Fox Star Studios, Vijay Singh has stated that he found the character of Ranveer and Deadpool quite akin in the sense of their irreverent and witty humor. Vijay expressed his delight on having a “daring and powerhouse” actor such as Ranveer Singh on board for the adaptation of 20th Century Fox’s major superhero film by Marvel Entertainment.
The Cinematic rating of the Hindi version is also set at an ‘A’, as no hesitations in dubbing Ryan Reynolds’ risqué curse words have been made by Ranveer Singh.
