Ranveer Singh‘s much-anticipated biographical sports-drama ’83, where he will star as the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, will be recreating India’s 1983 World Cup victory at the iconic Lord Stadium in England. Ranveer will recreate the moment as Kapil Dev, who was the Captain at that time and one of the biggest reason for India’s World Cup win, where lifted the World Cup Trophy at the iconic Lords balcony.

The film will also feature Tamil actor Jiiva, YouTuber Sahil Khattar, and Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk in important roles. ’83 will mark the directorial comeback of director Kabir Khan after his last 2017 film ‘Tubelight’.
The film is slated to release on April 10, 2020.
