Ratna Pathak Shah is an Indian actress and director. Ratna is best known for her work in theater, television and Bollywood films. She is most known for her role in the famous show “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai” as ‘Maya Sarabhai’. ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ was a source of endless laughter for television audiences. Which is why comedy’s second edition, in the form of a web series, is eagerly awaited.
Talking about the show, Ratna Shah said, “I haven’t thought much about the response we’ve been getting since a few more episodes are yet to release. Besides, I am not on social media. So, I don’t know how the opinion is panning out. I won’t deny that there have been mixed reactions, largely positive, but there are a few who feel that the second season is not quite like the first.” She added, “It’s probably the nostalgia factor associated with the first season that audiences find lacking in season two. We were all 10 years younger when the first season released. There is a different worldview now. But while shooting for the second season, the shift was seamless. We had a good time and I feel the script is well-written.”
She has even done supporting roles in movies like “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na”, “Golmaal 3”, “Ek Mai Aur Ekk Tu”, “Khoobsurat”, “Kapoor and Sons” and Currently, she is busy shooting for her next movie titled “Lipstick Under My Burkha“. She married to the Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah in 1982.
