The makers of ‘Romeo. Akbar. Walter.’ starring John Abraham, dropped in the first official trailer of the film and the short video is intriguing. Like the last three movies, given by the actor, this too is based on patriotism.
RAW is based on the subcontinent’s most definitive battle fought. With this war, the world witnessed the biggest ever military submission by a nation since ‘World War ll’. Nearly one-third of Pakistan’s army was held captive.
The film based on true events is helmed by Robbie Grewal and produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Dheeraj Wadhwan, Ajay Kapoor, Vanessa Walia, and Gary Grewal. The film also stars Jackie Shroff and Mouni Roy.
The synopsis of the film reads, “धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः His dharma was to protect his nation against all evils and enemies. He did so, at the cost of his identity. Here’s presenting the trailer of ‘Romeo. Akbar. Walter.’ #RAW based on the true story of a patriot.”
Movie critic and biz analyst Taran Adarsh called the film John’s another wonderful choice and the trailer “electrifying”.
Talking about his role in the film, John Abraham had earlier revealed, “I do have eight different looks in the film. The effort that goes into giving me those looks is immense. It’s time-consuming but completely worth the effort. There’s a cast that they create to create to give me the desired get-up. I play everything from an 85-year- old man to a 26-year-old and this is probably the most challenging role of my life. I’ve realized that today’s cinema is about facing challenges. It’s not about showing great disco dance moves in a project. I get good nervous energy when I am prepping for a difficult film and ‘RAW’ is in that space.”
It will release Worldwide on 5th April 2019.
