Actress Reem Shaikh is one of those people who has made a name for herself at a very young age.

In a recent video of Pinkvilla, the actress talked about her debut and her struggling phase for two years.

When asked about her first job, Reem said it was a modelling assignment for a garment catalog, for which she also received her first paycheck.

She also talked about her struggling phase after her role in the historical serial ‘Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat’.

The ‘Tujhse Hai Raabta’ actress said, “[.] After ‘Ashoka’ nothing was working out for me, I signed ten shows, all of them got rejected, all of them got shelved for some reasons.”

Reem said her auditions were going amazing but things did not work out and she was almost about to give up acting.

She went on to reveal that she was also rejected in the first three auditions of ‘Tujhse Hai Raabta’ as the makers felt she was chubby.

But the twist of fate happened and the girl who was selected, did not show up and Reem bagged the role of Kalyani Malhar Rane in it.

Reem started her career at the age of six with the serial ‘Nee Bhare Tere Naina Devi’ and later appeared in ‘Me Aajji Aur Sahib’, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat and ‘Tu Aashiqui.’
