Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Dabangg 2’ were box office hits and the fans are waiting for the third part ‘Dabangg 3’. The first film was produced by Abhinav Kashyap and the second the one was directed by Arbaaz Khan. There were speculations stating that the latter would be directing the third part as well but no, he isn’t the director.
Currently Salman is busy with Ali Abbbas Zafar’s movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ that is slated to release during the season of Christmas this year. Then he’ll start working for the dance film directed by Remo D’Souza followed by Alvira and Atul Agnihotri’s movie ‘Bharat’ which will again be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. During the interview Salman Khan revealed when he will start shooting for ‘Dabangg 3’.
“The script of Dabangg 3 is ready. It’s going to start during Bharat, which is Atul and Alvira’s film that Ali Abbas Zafar is directing. That starts after Remo’s film. Atul’s film requires some gaps. So between the schedules for Atul’s film, I will shoot for Dabangg 3,” he revealed.
Salman added, “The story starts with Dabangg 3 in the present and then it goes back to the past, and then comes back to the present day again. It will have a prequel portion, but only as a flashback.”
Enlightening more about his character in the film Salman Khan said, “So it’s Chulbul Pandey now and then — what has gone on in his life before part one and two. The flashback will show how Chulbul Pandey actually became Chulbul Pandey. The remaining part will be about what he’s upto now.”
He also mentioned that his brother Arbaaz Khan, who directed Dabangg 2, will not direct the new sequel.
“He gets very hyper so we asked him to chill and take rest. He will produce the film this time,” Salman said.
