Though we are divided by borders the love for Cinema and specially the knots of Bollywood keeps both the countries United in a beautiful way. We cannot ignore the fact that the craze for Bollywood is deeply rooted within the people of both these countries, we are in love with it though many times the cinema makes us upset but yet we are sticked to it’s love forever.

The 2014 Filmistaan beautifully captures this aspect of people and their craze for Bollywood films. They don’t just watch it for entertainment purpose, they live and feel the character and it’s story, they deeply connect with it and find it relatable with their own life. This Nitin Kakkar directorial explains how Cinema has a vast influence on the society, apart from this factor it focuses on the human relation which never consider someone’s religion, caste or even nationality when it comes to standing for the truth.

The story weaves Hindi Cinema as a common thread between the two protagonists of the film, Sunny (Sharib Hashmi) and Aftaab (Inaamulhaq). Driven by humour, well written dialogues and a flawless story, the film takes you to a beautiful ride with a different perspective of human beings, it sees nothing more than Humanity. A great plot and well developed characters makes it a flawless and solid film. Filmistaan has all the aspects of a good film, story, great performances, well written dialogues and every other factor.
