Hollywood stunt director Keir Beck will direct the stunts in Danny Denzongpa’s son Rinzing’s debut film ‘Squad’. The film is directed by Jyoti Kapur Das and produced by Nilesh Sahay. It will go on floors in April 2019 and the shooting will be done in Budapest.

The renowned stuntman Beck has films like ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Matrix’ franchise, and ‘Mad Max: Fury Road‘ to his credit. According to the reports, he will choreograph stunt teams from Germany, Croatia, Australia, Polan, and London.

Nilesh said that he didn’t want to compromise with safety as the film has some deadly stunts, that is why he got Hollywood action director.

The director is the debutante herself but she has earned awards and accolades for her short film ‘Chutney’ starring Tisca Chopra. She had earlier said, “The kicks and punches are seamless in our story as they ride on characters who have been raised against the backdrop of action. We are attempting to create something that won’t leave the audience in disbelief.”

Jyoti is the first woman to direct an action film in India but she feels it’s essential to do what one likes rather than figuring if one is the first or the second to do it.

The film’s producer Nilesh, compared Jyoti to Oscar-nominated Hollywood filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow. He said, “If you look at the West, Bigelow is the biggest action film director, second only to James Cameron. I think it is a myth that woman can’t direct action films, and with ‘Squad’ we will break the stereotype in India too. Jyoti has the passion to direct an action film and along with the co-writer, Shobha Nihalani has been closely fine-tuning the script and designing the action.”
