The film introduces the worst bank Chor character (Champak Chandrakant Chiplunkar) which is played by Riteish Deshmukh who have aced comedy in their own way. Champak is a thief who believes in Vaastu Shastra and offers prayer to his weapons before he goes out to rob. He can not shoot. When he plans a robbery of the lifetime, it takes U -turn and puts him in a difficult situations. He always has been able to sneak out with money, this time he got stuck up with Amjad Khan a policeman portrayed by Vivek Oberoi. The dialogues of the film are very quirky and full on entertaining. Baba Sehgal will be seen doing a cameo role.

The film is directed by the debutant director Bumpy under the production of Aditya Chopra, Aashish Singh, Rajat Kanti Sarkar and Ashish Patel. Yash Raj Films ‘Bank Chor‘ is a much-delayed project, which was scheduled for an early 2015 release but is finally coming to theaters on 2017.

Bollywood’s perception of thieves and portrayal of robbery has always been interesting to witness. And now with Bank Chor, it is giving us a comedy experience keeping the premise similar to what we have seen before. The trailer of the film, which stars Riteish Deshmukh, is out and reminds us of classic comedies and the Tom and Jerry chase sequences, taking us totally on a laughter ride. Well, you can trust Riteish when it comes to comedy.

Riteish Deshmukh attempts to rob a bank with his small, seemingly inexperienced and dim witted gang of ‘bank chors’. As the trailer progresses, things take an unlucky turn despite Swami’s Vaastu-guided operation and they are surrounded by the police force, which includes Vivek Oberoi’s character as a senior policeman.

Trying to stray from the path of protagonists being sly, criminal masterminds, the characters of Bank Chor are anything but adroit, failing terribly at their poorly planned man-oeuvre. As Vivek’s character claims, their heist is no ordinary one and communicates with the thieves in uncanny ways, we can only wait untill June 16 to know exactly how things spiral out of control for the boys.

The film is scheduled for June 16 release.
