Director and filmmaker Vishesh Bhatt and daughter-in-law of RK Laxman, cartoonist Usha Laxman, had joined hands for a web series based on RK Laxman’s book “Servants Of India”. The series will be produced by Vishesh.

The book “Servants Of India” is a collection of 10 hilarious stories based on countless men and women who run the lives of the middle class in India. The stories have been put up together by a freelance journalist Ganesh. He was trying to write a feature article on the servants he has known. Pencil sketches have been done by Laxman, marked by his trademark wit, the book is a delightful read.

Biz analyst shared the news from his official Twitter handle. He wrote, “Vishesh Bhatt and Usha Laxman take the works of RK Laxman [The Common Man] digital… Vishesh Bhatt to produce web series based on RK Laxman’s book #ServantsOfIndia.”

Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Laxman, shortly known as RK Laxman was an Indian cartoonist, illustrator, and humorist, best known for his creation of “The Common Man” and his daily cartoon strip “You Said It” in the Times Of India. Laxman was known as “Pied Piper of Delhi”.
