On the work front, Rubina has been winning the audiences hearts with her performance as Soumya Singh, an eunuch girl, in the hit serial ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.’
Her role has been well received and has earned her the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress Drama (Jury) and the Golden Petal Award for Best Personality (Female).
There were recent reports the story will take a leap of several years and Rubina might quit the serial, a claim which she refuted.
Rubina had started her acting career in 2008 with the serial ‘Chhoti Bahu’ and later acted as Simran Gill in ‘Saas Bina Sasural.’
She has also appeared in serials like ‘Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed’, ‘Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev’ and ‘Jeannie Aur Juju.’
