Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds says that at the age of 40, he found that performing action sequences was not hilarious anymore.

The actor, who will be seen performing several high octane action scenes in the upcoming action film 6 Underground, said at the film’s press conference in Seoul that he has always enjoyed performing stunts. But now that he is not young anymore he has experienced the difficult side of it too.

“I loved the car (chase) stuff, all the stuff on the giant boat and the (action sequences in) Hong Kong,” he said.

“Hardest one was just fighting the actual hand-to-hand combat stuff…I think after I turned 40 falling on cement wasn’t hilarious anymore. I love action, performing it and being a part of it..I love learning from it…I wouldn’t say challenging but mostly exciting,” the Deadpool actor told the reporters.

Talking about his character in the film, Reynolds said: “My character is basically who takes into his own hands and uses all of this insane amount of money that he happens to have and decides to put it to use to make the world a better place.”

Directed by Michael Bay, the film tells the story of six people who fake their deaths in order to take down notorious criminals.  Co-starring Mélanie Laurent, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona and Corey Hawkins, 6 Underground is slated to release on Netflix on 13 December.
