The first look of the Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu-starrer ‘Saand Ki Aankh‘ is finally out. The poster features both the actresses in a traditional Haryanvi outfit handling guns donning old age look. The producer Anurag Kashyap, has got an international makeup artist for the prosthetics as Taapsee and Bhumi can be seen as a 60-year-old in the poster.
The quote in the poster reads, “They broke out of their cage… At 60 they rose above their age… With 700 Medals they became a rage…”
Taking it to Twitter film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar… First look posters of #SaandKiAankh… Directed by Tushar Hiranandani… Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar… #Diwali 2019 release.”

Just a day before the release of the first look, the makers of ‘Saand Ki Aankh‘ released a pre-introductory teaser from the film. The short video gave a sneak peek of Chandro and Prakashi Tomar’s life and highlighted their achievements.
The film also stars Vineet Kumar Singh and Prakash Jha in pivotal roles. Acclaimed scriptwriter Tushar Hiranandani is making his directorial debut with this film.
‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is based on the world’s oldest female Jat sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, also known as “Shooter Dadi” and are the pride of the district.
Chandro is a mother of eight and grandmother of 15 and she has won 25 national championships throughout India.
Now shooting runs in her family. Her granddaughter Shefali Tomar is an international shooter and her niece Seema Tomar is also a sharpshooter. Seema was the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Rifle and Pistol World Cup in 2010.
