Working with Naseeruddin Shah special, energetic: Sahil Vaid!

The Indian actor Sahil Vaid says that working with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is special and energetic. Sahil is popularly known for his movies like ‘Bittoo Boss’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania.’ He made his Bollywood debut in 2012 with the movie title ‘Bittoo Boss’, Earlier he was very well known for his variety of roles in the first online comedy shows title ‘Jai Hind’. He rose the popularity with his character ‘Poplu’ in the movie “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania”

Currently, Sahil is gearing up for his upcoming theatre show titled “The Father” along with the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and he says working with the actor feels more special and energetic. Sahil says, “As an actor working with Naseeruddinji is always special and energetic. He is an inspiration. The time spent with or around him has always helped me to learn this or that which helps me as an actor. Working with him is like a dream come true.”

The theatre show which was directed by Naseeruddin Shah and his wife Ratna Pathak Shah and the show will take place at the National Center for the Performing Arts here from September 1-30. While Sahil will be part of the show from September 11 until September 21.

Talking much about the play, “The Father”, which will be based on the father who is suffering from a disease Alzheimer and for the show, Sahil has done sound designing as well. About the show, Sahil said, “This play is about a father suffering from Alzheimer’s disease — his various stages of memory degradation and how it affects people around him. I am an imaginary character who only the father (Naseeruddin) sees, I claim to be different people in his life”. He added, “First I claim to be his son-in-law who is very friendly, and then I claim to be his son-in-law who is very rude to him and finally when the father is in the hospital, I claim to be a ward boy. Basically, he sees my face whenever he sees a male element around him. And whenever he leaves reality and enters his world of imagination,” he added.
