Saif Ali Khan casted opposite Prabhas in Om Raut’s epic Adipurush

The fight between good and evil in 2022, just got intensified. The Nawab of Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan has joined Prabhas’s AdipurushThe actor is going to play the main antagonist in the epic film. This marks his second film with the director, Om Raut. Together, they had worked in last year’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Saif is going to portray Lankesh in the film, the world’s most intelligent demon who “existed 7000 years ago”, as per Om Raut’s caption for the film’s announcement.

Om revealed Saif’s casting with the following post on Twitter :

Saif is thrilled to work with Om again and in a statement, talking about it he said :

“I am thrilled to be working with Omi dada again! He has a grand vision and the technical knowledge to really pull it off. He has taken me beyond the cutting edge of our cinema in the way he shot Tanhaji and this time he is taking us all further! It’s a phenomenal project and I am super thrilled to be a part of it!”

Further, he added how he looks forward to collaborating with Prabhas. On this he said,

“I look forward to clashing swords with the mighty Prabhas and to play a role that is electrifying and demonic!”

While Saif is thrilled to work with Om, the director also feels the same and said this about casting Saif in the film :

“To play the strongest villain from our epic, we needed a brilliant actor. Who better than Saif Ali Khan, one of the greatest actor of our lifetime, to essay this powerful role. Personally, I enjoy every day at work with him. I am looking forward to this exciting journey with him all over again.”

Earlier, Saif appeared in a cameo appearance in Dil Bechara. His upcoming films include Bhoot Police and Bunty Aur Babli 2.

Meanwhile, Om Raut will shoot Adipurush in Hindi and Telugu. While the film will release in Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil too. The epic is going to come out in 2022.

With Saif’s casting in the film, it looks like the makers are leaving no stone unturned for ensuring that the film turns out to be a blockbuster.
