Easier to express story on web than on big screen: Saif Ali Khan!

The Indian actor and producer Saif Ali Khan says that it is very easy to express story on web series rather than on big screen. Saif started his career in 1993 with the Yash Chopra’s drama movie ‘Parampara’. He rose the popularity with his romantic role in ‘Yeh Dillagi’ and the action movie ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’. His 1999 movie ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ became the biggest commercial success of the decade. Later, he appeared in many films like Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste, Omkara, Kurbaan, Race, Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail. He even got National Film Award for Best Actor for the movie titled ‘Hum Tum’ in which he played the solo male lead.

Now, Saif Ali Khan is all set to appear in Netflix’s upcoming original series ‘Sacred Games’and feels that it is easier to present a story on the web platform. During the launch of the web series, when Saif was being asked about all the censorship game. On this Saif said, “The fact that there is lack of censorship and we will be able to tell our stories in truth is very exciting. I don’t like the idea of too many constraints. So this book is so layered and to be able to present that without having gone to 500 institutions and seek permission to express yourself freely is good.”

Moreover, Saif denied all reports of being part of Kabir Khan’s web series ‘The Forgotten Army’ and he said that “Right now the only streaming service I am working with is Netflix.”

When asked that he is one of the A-listers actors that are venturing into a digital space, Saif said, “It is not like a strategic move to be better or faster than anybody else, the way I see is that it is exciting to be a part of the creative world.”

On the work front, Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for his upcoming release ‘Kaalakandi‘, which is directed by Akshat Verma and produced by Cinestaan Film Company. The movie features Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raz, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in crucial roles. The movie ‘Kaalakandi’ is about six characters, set in one night and encompasses the dark and bright side of life in Mumbai.Earlier, the movie is slated to release on September 8, but now due to the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has suggested some cuts in the movie so makers have decided to change the release date.
