Since the time, Sara Ali Khan revealed on Koffee With Karan that she has a crush on Kartik Aaryan, the speculations have been doing rounds about their relationship. The two have been spotted together on several occasions and will be seen together on silver screen for the first time in Imtiaz Ali’s film Aaj Kal.
The rumours have also been coming about their break up recently but it seems the father Saif approved Sara’s choice and her relationship with Kartik. Speaking to ETimes Saif said, “In person Sara is good, she knows what she wants and usually likes nice people. So I’m sure he’s (Kartik) a lovely guy because you know I have full trust in her values and what kind of things she would be drawn to. So you know, if she likes him, then he must be nice.”
Saif, who is busy these days promoting his latest film Laal Kaptaan, even approved of Kartik during an appearance on Koffee With Karan. When Karan Johar, the host of the show, asked Sara what was going on between her and Kartik, Saif joked, he can take her if he has money.
Kartik and Sara who were being counted as the next hottest couple in Bollywood have reportedly broken up. According to reports, it was a mutual and amicable decision since the couple could not find enough time to spend together due to their professional commitments.
The two might have parted their ways for now but they will be back together to promote their first film together Aaj Kal which is Imtiaz Ali’s next project. The film is touted to be a sequel to Saif’s 2009 romantic drama ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Speaking about the film Saif added, “Well, you know, I haven’t seen it but it’s decent.”
