Salman Khan officially acquired the title of a lyricist, as a few heartfelt words which erupted out of Salman in a brainstorming session during filming Race 3, somehow managed to become a title track for the movie. According to him, he had merely jotted down a few thoughts which had come to his mind during warming up for the shoot, when music director Vishal Mishra announced that there was more to these words than just letters.
Regarding this latest achievement, Salman Khan elaborated to his fans exactly how his words were turned into lyrics of a new song. During a cast discussion about the personality of his character with respect to his family, Salman had apparently written down a few points which had come to his mind during filming a few scenes earlier. When he recited those words, intending them to be inculcated in some future dialogue, Vishal Sharma immediately interrupted the conversation, announcing that he had something better planned in his mind.
A while later, Vishal Sharma had appeared in front of them with a beautiful tune which, apparently, sounded melodious when sung along with the lyrics written by Salman Khan. At that moment, the crew of Race 3 had decided that this collection of thoughts would be named ‘Selfish’, and shaped and released as the second title song of the movie, which would be sung by none other than Atif Aslam. Atif had previously sung songs like Pehli Nazar, and Beintehaan, for the previous movies in the Race Franchise, and is now very eager to sing a soulful and romantic song like Selfish for the upcoming installment.
