It was only last week that Salman Khan announced his film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali to be released on Eid next year. Now it has been learnt that his fans will get to see him on another occasion of festivities in 2021. Kick 2, the sequel of his 2014 film Kick, will be coming out on Christmas next year, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror.
Sajid Nadidwala, who produced and directed the first installment, is finishing the script of Kick 2 with writer, Rajat Arora. It will flag off after Salman finishes Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The report quoted a source as saying, “Salman and Sajid are both eager to take the Kick franchise forward and have zeroed down on a script that justifies the character of Devil. The first draft is locked, the final screenplay will be ready by year end.”.
Sajid himself confirmed the information to the news daily. He said, “Kick 2 will happen in December 2021, I am in the process to finish writing the script.” Salman and Sajid have worked together on Jeet, Judwaa, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jaane-E-Mann and others.
Meanwhile, Salman is busy shooting for his upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai which also features Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda among others. Directed by Prabhudeva and produced by Sohail Khan, it is scheduled to be released on 22 May 2020, the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
