Salman Khan’s long-time body guard Gurmeet Singh, popularly known as Shera, has joined Shiv Sena on Friday. His decision comes three days ahead of the assembly polls in Maharashtra.
The Shiv Sena formally announced the new entry on Saturday on its official Twitter handle.

He joined the party in the presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray and Yuva Sena President, Aditya Thackeray at their residence Matoshree in Mumbai.
“We are fighting the October 21 elections with a dream for a ‘bright Maharashtra’. In the past, we have delivered all our pledges and whatever was left incomplete, shall be done now. We shall definitely fulfill these promises,” Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray had said earlier.
Maharashtra will go to polls on October 21 and the counting of votes will take place on October 24.
