Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his larger than life sets, grand costumes, and breathtaking cinematography. The director produced the three super hit films, ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, and ‘Padmaavat‘, all featured Bhansali’s favorite Jodi, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh. The magnum opus of Hindi films, Bhansali is all geared up for his next film with Salman Khan. The duo last worked together for 1999 epic romance-drama ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.
Actor Salman Khan’s last collaboration with Bhansali was in 2007 film ‘Saawariya’, where he had a small cameo role opposite of debutant Sonam Kapoor. As per the sources of an online news portal DNA, “Sanjay, who is penning the script, has narrated the idea to Salman and he is on board. Though the film isn’t a sequel or a remake, it may be called ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam 2’. Bhansali feels that the movie has all the elements that Hum Dil… had. So, the title feels like a natural fit for part two. However, it will have a different story and new characters. An A-list heroine will be cast opposite Salman, but the makers haven’t approached anyone as yet”.
The same source further adds, “Salman starts Dabangg 3 in the last week of March. Once he finishes the third installment of the cop franchise, he will begin work on this project. The movie is being readied for a 2020 release”.
In the finale episode of ‘Koffee with Karan‘, Priyanka Chopra Jonas spilled the beans on her new movie with Bhansali. when Priyanka was asked a question on whether she would prefer working with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vishal Bharadwaj. To which the actress replied with a smile and said she is already in talks with both of them. Priyanka and Salman might reunite for Bhansali’s upcoming film.
