Aditya Roy Kapur gets a companion on his journey with Sanjana Sanghi onboarding his next film, Om: The Battle Within. The work on the film starts in December, with a release in 2021 on the cards.
The action-thriller is going to be the directorial debut of the action director, Tinu Verma’s son, Kapil. He is going to shoot his debut film in three cities and abroad. Helping him to create the film is Shaira and Ahmed Khan, who alongwith Zee Studios are producing the film.
A report Ahmed went ahead with Sanjana after seeing her mature performance in Dil Bechara. Impressed with her handling of the character of Kizie, he decided to cast her for OM.
While Sanjana stated that out of the multiple scripts she considered, OM provided her the chance to test her acting chops and introduce her to the action genre, which she has never explored.
The actress who will play the role of Kavya in the film, described her character as one which every young Indian girl would like be. For Sanjana her role is of a confident, hard working and empathetic girl. She says that the role is pushing her on both physical and mental aspects, though she is relishing the opportunity.
Leading the film is Aditya Roy Kapur for whom Sanjana was full of praises. Talking about him, she said :
“Getting to work with Adi is the best part of it all, he’s working so hard for the film and is going to shine.”
Aditya Roy Kapur was recently seen in Anurag Basu’s anthology film, Ludo in which he plays the role of Akash. Critics have praised his performance in the film, while the film too has received a good response. It released on November 13 on Netflix.
