In August, Sanjay Dutt said that he is taking some break from films for “some medical treatment”. Now though, the actor has completed the shooting of his next film Shamshera. The YRF produced film is being helmed by Karan Malhotra.

A source, close to the film reported about this and said :

Sanjay Dutt has wrapped Shamshera. It was a simple patchwork shoot for the film. Ranbir Kapoor had wrapped the film earlier, and Sanjay just had two days of patchwork left which he has finished now”.

It further added, “Strict precautions were followed by YRF for the patchwork shoot. Everyone present went through home quarantine and was tested for coronavirus to ensure that Sanjay Dutt was not at risk in any way. A super safe environment was created for him to finish the patchwork.”

Due to the pandemic, the film has got delayed to next year. Earlier, it was supposed to release this July. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor in the lead.

Dutt has been fighting with the illness and is currently seeking treatment for the same in Mumbai. Many reports claim it to be cancer but Sanjay and wife Maanayata have requested media and fans not to speculate about his health.

Sanjay will also be seen in Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride Of India, which will release on Disney+ Hotstar soon. Recently, his film Sadak 2 released on the platform to negative reviews.
