Sara Ali Khan is set to make her entry into the historical genre. The actress bags a film featuring the era of the freedom struggle during the 1940s. The film is based on the 1942 Quit India Movement. Reportedly, the film has chosen an OTT route and is set to release on Amazon Prime Video.

After impressing fans with her marvellous performance in Atrangi Re, Sara Ali Khan is set to experiment with a new genre. Atrangi Re actress will soon be featuring on a period drama based on Quit India Movemet. Helmed by Ek Thi Dayan famed director Kanan Iyer, the film is set to release on Prime Video.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, Sara will be seen in a new avatar for the upcoming film. The reports further stated that the film will release on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. The film will be bankrolled by Dharmatic Entertainment, according to Pinkvilla’s report.

Sara Ali Khan And Vicky Kaushal In Lukka Chuppi 2?

Sara Ali Khan recently wrapped up Laxman Utekar’s untitled film with Vicky Kaushal. The duo were spotted in Indore few months back shooting for their upcoming film. According to the reports, the film is a sequel to Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Lukka Chuppi.

Sara Ali Khan penned down a heartfelt note for her co-star Vicky Kaushal post wrap up. The actress wrote, “@vickykaushal09 🤗🤗🤗 every day with you on set has been a blast. From enjoying Punjabi songs and bonfires to early morning drives and copious cups of chai.”

She further added, “Thank you for making this journey so memorable for me. You’re one of the most humble, talented and gifted actors I’ve met, and I’m so privileged that I got to share screen space with you and learn so much from you.” The duo wrapped up the film’s shooting on January 27.

Apart from this, the actress is currently shooting for her upcoming movie titled Gaslight in Gujarat with Vikrant Massey. The two were snapped as they visited the Dwarkadhish temple in the state.

Sara Ali Khan was last seen in Anand L Rai’s Atrangi Re co-starring Dhanush and Akshay Kumar. The film got immense love from the audience and critics. Atrangi Re is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
