After working with commercially successful director Rohit Shetty in Simmba, actor Sara Ali Khan seems to be all set to team up with the critically acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for his next film, according to a report on the entertainment website Pinkvilla. The report also suggested that Bhardwaj loved the performances of Khan in her last two films and was keen to collaborate with her.
The report quoted a source as saying, “They recently met and discussed a project which they both want to do together. Vishal is known for his content driven films and Sara also has been an avid follower of his movies. They have verbally agreed on doing the film but Vishal is currently fine tuning the script.”
“Not much is known about the movie at this point but it will be a female centric subject with Sara leading from the front,” the source added.
While the talks for this project are going on, Khan is gearing up for filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s untitled film which is being touted to be sequel of his 2010 film Love Aaj Kal that starred Khan’s father Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. The film stars Kartik Aaryan as the male lead and is scheduled to be released on 14 February 2020 on Valentine’s Day. She is also doing director David Dhawan’s Coolie No. 1 with actor Varun Dhawan.
On the other hand, Bhardwaj’s last outing as director was 2018 film Pataakha which received seven nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards including Best Film Critics for Bhardwaj.
