One of the most memorable films of Salman Khan, ‘Tere Naam‘ is getting a sequel. The film which launched Bhumika Chawla in the Bollywood will soon return to the big screen with the next part. As per sources, the film is likely to go on floors by the end of this year.
A source close to the development informed, “The sequel is a new story, Satish finished writing the script recently. It is a love story revolving around a gangster and will be set in North India.” He further added that the character names will be retained since they still resonate with the audience.
When asked if Salman will play Radhe again, the source stated, “Satish and Salman share a great bond and have recently worked together in Bharat. But it is yet to be decided if Salman will feature in the film or a new cast will be brought on board.”
Director of ‘Tere Naam’ Satish Kaushik confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror, stating, “Yes it’s true, I am making Tere Naam 2 which is a love story. That’s all I can say for now.”
On the work front, Satish is playing a cameo in Salman’s ‘Bharat‘, and the two are working together after 16 years.
Satish is currently busy shooting for the film which is set in Uttar Pradesh and based on a farmer named Lal Bihari, who was declared dead on paper. His relatives did so with the help of a corrupt officer in order to snatch away his land. Later on, he decided to challenge the corrupt system and prove to everyone that he is alive. Pankaj Tripathi has been roped in for the role of Lal Bihari.
