The entertainer of the masses and actor, John Abraham is going to shoot for his next film, Satyameva Jayate 2. As we reported earlier, the film will be shot in Lucknow, but now new reports have come in. As per them, the shooting of the film will continue in the city until January 2021.
The action film is going to be shot across various heritage sites such as palaces and colleges in Lucknow. As the shoot is outdoor, the safety of the cast and crew is of utmost importance to the makers. For this, the locations will be sealed off, to not allow the general public.
The Director of the film, Milap Zaveri, confirmed the shooting of the film, though he started that only the film’s lead pair will start the shoot first. He said:
“On the first day, we will shoot only with the lead pair, but subsequently, other actors like Harsh Chhaya, Gautami Kapoor, Shaad Randhawa, Anup Soni, and Sahil Vaid will join in.”
The leading lady of the film is Divya Khosla Kumar, who will start the shoot opposite John. Talking about shooting in the live locations, Zaveri added,
“We will be shooting across Lucknow, including at heritage structures like palaces and colleges. Some of the live locations will be completely sealed off, so crowd gazers cannot sneak in. Only our cast and crew will be present on the spot.”
You are expected to see major action in the film, which the director plans to shoot in the streets of Lucknow. This is a bold move considering the pandemic and huge population, however, the producer of the film, Bhushan Kumar is confident.
The producer is aware of the challenges but he is sure that the SOP’s in place, will protect the crew. Further, he said :
“It will be scary for the crew at live locations, but it is important to give our audience some entertainment during this pandemic,
When we decide to take a franchise forward, we have to be ready with larger-than-life stories and characters. This script is a notch higher and Milap has worked rigorously on the action scenes with John during the lockdown.”
Earlier the film was planned for shooting in Mumbai. Though after the lockdown, the makers shifted to Lucknow as they term it as a suitable location for the film’s story.
Meanwhile, John also has an untitled film with Aditi Rao Hydari, Arjun Kapoor, and Rakul Preet. He also serves as the producer of the film.
