Secret Superstar

Aamir Khan is known for his diversity and his versatility that he brings in every new movie he makes, which clearly is a treat to the Indians. But what’s astonishing is how well the chinese have now accepted his movies. And the figures prove it. After just 7 days of the release, Secret Superstar has made 293.18 crores by just barely missing on the mighty 300.

Dangal was the 33rd film in Chinese history to have crossed RMB one billion. It was about India’s skewed sex ratio and preference for sons—an issue China also battles. After Dangal, the Chinese film distributors were on much wait for his next film and even upped the premiere in just 3 months when compared to the usual period of 6 months. This shows the interest Aamir has put in the minds of the audience and distributors.

Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is Produced by Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao. Secret Superstar revolves around the life of Insu, a young Muslim girl who aspires to become a singer but faces restrictions from her conservative father. He continued by adding to the audience that he depicts a funny man in this movie compared to the serious role he played in Dangal.
