In the past, Dangal and PK have made massive success at the Chinese Box Offices. Aamir Khan’s films are highly valued and appreciated by the Chinese Audiences and it is only phenomenally ‘unbelievable’ when we look at the box office figures of Aamir’s latest flick – ‘Secret Superstar’.
The film directed by Advait Chandan released in China on the 19th of January and has already made a collection of over 236.81 Crore as on Tuesday. The film has also rewritten Dangal’s opening week record and has super ceded it in vast numbers.
Presales of the film tickets began on 15th January 2018, in which the film earned around 43 Crore being second after the Chinese film – A Better Tomorrow 2018. The film has been touted as the second-highest grossing Indian film worldwide in 2017.
In the past, Aamir Khan’s Dangal and PK have also garnered huge box office success in China and have set path breaking records.
Talking about Secret Superstar’s collection on Monday, Indian film critic and trade analyst tweeted that Secret Superstar had a ‘SPLENDID’ Monday. On Tuesday he claimed the figures to be ‘UNSTOPPABLE’. To add a cherry on the cake, we hear that superstar Aamir Khan is himself in China promoting this master piece film.
Secret Superstar, starring Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij, Raj Arun & Aamir Khan is the journey of a young girl and her dream to be a singer. The story is written by Advait Chandan himself and the soulful music to the film is given by Amit Trivedi. The film hit the screens in India on 19th October 2017 and also went on to be declared a hit at the Indian box office. The film’s lead actor Zaira Wasim went on to win the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement and the film has also received 10 nominations at the 63rd Filmfare Awards.
