Last year, Shah Rukh Khan became the first Indian actor to deliver a TED Talk in the USA. This inspired the idea of his new show TED Talks India: Nayi Soch. The first season was aired on 10th December 2017 which featured guests like Karan Johar and Javed Akhtar. The show is totally based on the speakers and their stories with zero amount of sensationalization. Though the first season didn’t get high TRPs, it got critical acclaim for being different, content-driven and knowledge-driven. In April this year, TED announced that the show will be renewed for three more seasons.
Now that the actor has wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film Zero, it is reported that he will be returning as the host for Season 2. A source informs that the show is likely to be shot in November and aired the same month or in December. “Last time, the episodes were shot in August and aired in December, but this time, there won’t be such a long gap between the shoot and the telecast. It will be on the same channel that aired the first season,” adds the source.
While the previous season comprised seven episodes, this time he is likely to shoot for eight to 10 episodes. “Celebrities including music maestro AR Rahman, who couldn’t make it last time, will be invited to give a motivational talk,” adds the source.
On the film front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in Zero. He plays a vertically challenged person in the film and the fans are totally looking forward to his experiment this time.
