Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen in his next project Aanand L Rai‘s romance drama featuring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Earlier back in 2012, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma created magic on screen with Yash Chopra’s ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and five years later, the trio has been roped in for another film. Filmmakers have decided to bring these three actors together for his next film.
The movie will be filmed in Meerut, some parts will reportedly be shot in the US. According to reports, it will be a 15-day schedule across Houston, New York and Atlanta. The director has apparently flown off to New York for a recce and intends to finalise all the locations before the film goes on floors in March. Shah Rukh khan too may join the ace director for the final technical recce. While the movie has not been titled yet, it has piqued audience’s curiosity as it will reportedly see Shah Rukh Khan essaying the role of a dwarf.
However, the filmmaker revealed that Anushka and Katrina won’t share the same frame in the film. In fact, the two will not come face-to-face in any of the scenes. “There is something that keeps them glued to each other. The story is such that one enters when the other leaves,” Filmmakers said. There were rumors of several actors having signed or being approached for Aanand L Rai’s film but that was pure conjecture by the media. The makers never confirmed or commented on the casting of the female leads before this. Few were aware of the fact that, Shah Rukh Khan had discussed this film with Anushka quite a while ago, while they were shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s film and were looking for the right time to make the announcement.
Aanand L Rai said, ” I’m thrilled that Anushka Sharma joins Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif for my next. From our very first meeting, she had an instant connect with the character. She seemed very excited about the challenges that this role entails. She’s at a more than ready stage in her career to essay a complex role like this. We have been working on her look and prepping for the film.
