Shahid Kapoor is currently basking in the glory of the success of his last film Kabir Singh. The film, after much controversy, has turned out to be the second highest grosser of the year. The actor received a number of big offers but as of now he is only doing the remake of South super hit Jersey.
In the midst of several offers, it has been reported that the actor has also been asked to do a film by the globally acclaimed Shekhar Kapur. According to a report on Pinkvilla, Shahid has even loved the idea of the project and is also interested on co-producing the film.
The report quoted a source as saying, “Shahid has been offered a very high content concept oriented drama by Shekhar Kapur. The basic idea is there and the project is at a very nascent stage. They have been discussing it with each other for a few weeks now. Shahid has loved the idea and is also keen on co-producing the film.
“Shekhar, on the other hand, is busy with the scripting of the film. It’s not yet known what the film is going to be about, but it’s most likely going to be a strong social drama, but one that will be commercially viable,” the source added.
