Actors are lucky to live a thousand different lives and to visit the best of places at work. Shahid Kapoor is one such actor who has been shooting in the most exquisite locations thanks to his choice of movies. After being a part of the grandeur of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sets in Padmaavat, Shahid will now be enjoying nature’s beauty while shooting for his next, Batti Gul Meter Chaalu in the foothills of the beautiful Uttarakhand.

The shooting of the movie has already begun yesterday. The muhurat shot was clapped by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh. Shahid shared a picture from the shoot on his instagram account captioning it, “Day 1. On set. Batti Gul meter Chalu.Here we go. #goodpeople #goodvibes”.

The picture captures Shahid looking sizzling on a bike wearing a black jacket with surrounding onlookers marvelling over the actor.

The movie is another venture by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha director Shree Narayan Singh. In a recent interview Shahid said, “Shree Narayan Singh, in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, talked about issues women faced with open defecation. Now he has chosen the electricity issue which will make the film very relatable to the common man”.

Interestingly, Shahid is all set to get deep into the character’s skin once again. Essaying the role of a lawyer, Shahid will also sport the regional accent of the role that he is embodying. He said, “The story is based in Uttarakhand so I will be using a certain accent and dialect for the film. After playing a King, I will be seen as a small city lawyer”.

The movie is a comic social drama that will also feature Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor in prominent roles.
