Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor says that he will be working under the direction of Shree Narayan Singh of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ fame. The movie will be produced by T-Series and KriArj Entertainment. However the titled of the movie has not been decided yet.
Director Shree Narayan Singh says that he is very much happy to work with the actor Shahid Kapoor because the actor has proved his mettle as an actor with the movies like ‘Kaminey’, ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Haider’, and ‘Udta Punjab’. Moreover, Narayan feels that his star presence is undeniable and he is looking forward to work with him.
According to the sources, Prernaa Arora of Kriarj Entertainment has loved the script and she has also shared the script with an actor Shahid Kapoor and after listening to the script he immediately came on the board to do the film because Shahid feels that it is a very strong script, which depicts the entire gamut of emotions and the movie has a realistic and the earthy feel to it.
About his previous movie, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ Prernaa said that they all really enjoyed making the movie together and they even got to know Shree Narayan Singh’s sensibilities as a filmmaker. She says that Narayan has given them the confidence that they are having an another winner in their hands. Moreover, she is very much confident that an actor Shahid Kapoor is one of the finest actors in the Bollywood industry and would completely do justice to the role.
They all are very excited that they have collaborated with Shahid as this role is the tailor-made for someone of his talent. Prernaa said that both the director as well as the actor will form a brilliant combo and will be the winner for them for sure.
About the upcoming movie, Bhushan Kumar of the T-Series has also said that Shree Narayan very well knows how to balance a strong message-driven film with the entertainment and by making it commercially viable. Shahid as an actor has a par of excellence and he has always portrayed himself as the best version of himself as he has enthralled them with the various roles he chooses to play on screen.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is currently gearing for the upcoming Indian period drama movie titled ‘Padmavati‘, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari
