On the work front, Rubina has been winning hearts with her performance as Soumya Singh in the hit serial ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.’
Her role of an eunuch girl has been well received and has earned her the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress Drama (Jury) as well as the Golden Petal Award for Best Personality (Female).
There have been reports recently that Rubina will be exiting from the serial as it will take a leap year, but she denied any knowledge of it.
Rubina had started her acting career in 2008 with the serial ‘Chhoti Bahu’ and later played Simran Gill in ‘Sasural Simar Ka.’
She has also played Divya Jakhotia in ‘Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed’ and goddess Sita in the mythological show ‘Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev.’
Rubina has also portrayed Jeannie in the sitcom ‘Jeannie Aur Juju’, which was based on the American show ‘I Dream of Jeannie.’
