Sridevi has spent 49 years in Hindi cinema and regional cinema too, she knows the film industry inside out. During the promotional activities of her upcoming 300th movie ‘Mom’, the actress made some shocking revelations about the working conditions in older times.
In an interview, she confessed that she is extremely happy to see vanity vans for the actresses. Sounding a bit envious of the current generation, Sridevi said, “Vanity van is a blessing for the actresses of today’s times. We didn’t have such facilities. We used to change clothes behind bushes, trees or even a bus on the sets of our films.”
Not just that, the actress even said there were no proper toilets. Sridevi said, ” I used to avoid drinking water on the sets of the film, as there were no clean washrooms.”
Sridevi was famous for her rain songs and her sexy moves, the actress said she hated shooting for them. ” I hated shooting for those rain songs as I often used to get sick after shooting for it.”
But now times have changed, Sridevi is making a comeback to movies after five years with ‘Mom’ starring Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead. No song and dance routine for her this time around, as she plays a role of mother who fights for her daughter. Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor too is gearing up for her Bollywood debut.
